Our Specially Grown Trees
The trees we place in our Flexibilitree tree hubs are cultivated in Air-Pot systems. This growing method allows the trees to be planted and deployed throughout the entire year. As a result, we are no longer dependent on the traditional planting season.
What is an Air-Pot?
An Air-Pot is a rigid plastic container that surrounds the root ball of the tree above ground level. Its perforated design allows a continuous supply of air to the root zone, stimulating the development of fine feeder roots. As the roots grow towards the openings, they are naturally air-pruned. This prevents circling or girdling roots and results in a dense, evenly distributed and structurally strong root system.
Trees cultivated in Air-Pot systems develop an optimal root ball, rich in fine feeder roots that are immediately capable of absorbing water and nutrients. The result is a high-quality tree with no transplant stress. By applying this method, we reduce the risk of failure to an absolute minimum.

Tree Species & Sizes
Flexibilitree offers a wide range of tree species, carefully selected to meet the needs of municipalities, businesses and event organisers. Examples include:
Lime trees (widely used in urban environments)
Oaks and elms (robust and long lasting)
Cherries and prunus (ornamental and flowering)
Willows and alders (well suited to wetter conditions)
Available sizes:
Trunk circumference from approximately 16–18 cm up to >40 cm
Heights ranging from 3 to over 8 metres
Specific species or larger sizes required? We provide tailored solutions and advise which trees are best suited to your project.
How does it work?
Our trees are delivered in Flexibilitree tree hubs. This approach offers significant advantages:
Temporary greening – trees can be installed immediately, without excavation or disruption of underground utilities.
Continued growth in containers – throughout the deployment period, the tree continues to develop and increase in value.
Final planting in open ground – after the temporary phase, the tree can be planted year round at its permanent location and continue to thrive.
This way, the tree gains value over time and contributes to greening more than once.

Creating Biodiversity
Flexibilitree is not only about greening outdoor spaces, but also about carefully selecting tree species and combinations that contribute to greater biodiversity. This enhances seasonal experience while providing additional foraging and nesting opportunities, supporting genuine ecological development within our living environment.
By activating locations where trees would normally be unable to grow, our tree hubs expand the urban green network. In doing so, they make a direct contribution to greening ambitions and climate objectives.
With passion and expertise, we advise on suitable tree species for virtually any situation – or invite you for an inspiring walk through our nursery.
